Ugolino dell Gheradesca was an Italian nobleman in the Guelph party who was made podesta of Pisa in 1284. In a conspiracy contrived by the Ghibelline Archbishop Ruggeri, Ugolino was accused of having betrayed his town by being negligent in battle. The Archbishop condemned him for his treasonous activities and had him locked up in a tower with his sons and grandsons. The entire male line, therefore, was left to starve to death. Dante tells the story of how Ugolino's children, bearing the unjust condemnation that was their fate offered to sacrifice their bodies to keep their father alive.

Hello Everyone
Welcome to The Rituals of Dinner blog,
Just wanted to explain how this works, some of you might have figured it out already.
Ok, on the right side of this page there is a list of everyone's name and links to their pages.
All you have to do is click on whichever one you want, and it will automatically transfer you to their personal blog.
Then it is your job to read what they have written about their projects and comment about it.
The purpose of blogs is to give timely feedback about people's work, whether you like the work or not. It is an opportunity for you to stay connected and updated with the changes made to the projects, whether it is the concept, the media used or anything else.
However, this blog can be used to comment on something to do with the exhibitions, the class or something you might want to ask about .
Use and abuse this wisely...
Good Luck to everyone :)
